jOY OF BEING
JOY OF BEING IS MORE THAN FASHION. IT IS A LIFESTYLE. THE JOURNEY TO THE UNKNOWN FOR THOSE WHO DARE AND OPEN THEIR SENSES, DISCOVERING THEIR TRUE NATURE, THEIR «JOY OF BEING».
THE COLLECTION BRINGS TOGETHER TRADITION, ART AND FASHION. IT IS AN INVITATION TO ENJOY THE SUMMING OF OUR PARTS: PAST, PRESENT AND… DESIGN OUR OWN JOURNEY, STARTING BY WHAT WE ARE THINKING WHEN WE SIT DOWN IN CHAIR UNDER THE SUN AND WE CLOSE OUR EYES.
The source of inspiration for the collection is diverse and rich in nuances: it includes everyday elements steeped in nostalgia for the designer, Mediterranean and Andalusian influences, the landscapes and environments of her hometown, Seville, Andalusian customs linked to flamenco, and the folklore of her rich artistic and traditional heritage.
Through this journey, the collection deals with two leitmotifs in parallel: on a conceptual level it is inspired in Andalusia; where, elements and cultural, artistic, social and family references revolve around the imaginary of Seville costumbrism.
Traditional garments of the folklore of Andalusian clothing have been investigated: the petticoat, the «trajes de luces», the bodices or the Saxon trousers, among others. On a technical level, the leitmotif seeks to mix and experiment with different fabrics and materials that are representative of Andalusian crafts as a way of raising their importance and giving them visibility. Among them, there are materials that recall the importance of fur, basketry and ceramics.
The pattern design of versatile garments has also been worked on, reducing the use of fabrics to a minimum in accordance with the brand’s sustainability strategy, as well as the use of avant-garde techniques such as laser cut or 3D printing.
